International Admissions

We encourage international students to apply to our school. The application process is online. All students must use the online application. Below are steps related to the application process, and other helpful links.

IU Office of International Admissions

The IU Office of International Admissions will review your application first. They determine if you have the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. Their initial processing may take several months, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible. After the review, International Admissions will route your application to SLIS (School of Library and Information Science).

SLIS Admissions Office

Once we receive your application, we try to process it quickly. You are welcome contact us to check your status. Once your application is complete, we will notify you of the decision. (Note: Ph.D. applications are processed on a different schedule.) Your materials are then returned to International Admissions for final processing (such as visa paperwork, proof of funding, and other requirements).
