Internships Outside Indiana

Application deadline:

For Fall placement: July 15
For Spring placement: November 15
For Summer placement (across both SSI and SSII): March 15
See the S605 application form and program guidelines
Sixty (60) on-site hours will be required for each credit hour.

SLIS students have held internships throughout the United States and the world. Placement options are flexible. Is there a library, company, or institution where you would love to have a position? Try obtaining an internship there. Internships for SLIS S605 course credit are a great way to begin contacts at an institution. Always check with your academic advisor - and with Dr. Shaw or Dr. Callsion (SLIS internship coordinators) about your plans. The internship supervisor needs to be a professional in the field, so that you have a mentor on-site. Otherwise, there are lots of possibilities. Be creative.
