Pre-Fall 2009 Master of Library Science with Digital Libraries Specialization

Candidates in this 36 credit hour specialization receive the MLS degree with a certificate indicating the specialization. Students in the Digital Libraries Specialization must:
- Complete the MLS Foundation course requirements (15 credit hours) with S503 - Representation and Organization (3 cr.) as the Organize and Represent Information Resources option.
- Complete S652 - Digital Libraries (3 cr.)
- Complete a minimum of 9 additional credit hours from the following list of classes:
- S532 - Information Architecture for the Web (3 cr.)
- S561 - User Interface Design for Information Systems (3 cr.)
- S634 - Metadata (3 cr.)
- S605 - Internship related to digital libraries (2-6 cr.)
- Other courses chosen in consultation with the Specialization/Faculty Advisor
