Maximum MLS Credit Hours at SLIS Indianapolis

To help with student academic advising and curriculum management, SLIS students need a base campus - either Bloomington or Indianapolis.

Effective September 2011, SLIS students may take up to nine degree credit hours on the SLIS campus that is not their base campus.

S401 must be taken at their base campus. (An exception can be considered - in writing - if a student took S401 while as an undergraduate or non-degree student prior to beginning their degree, and wishes to change their base campus.)

Note: SLIS Bloomington students need to have an email approval from the SLIS Bloomington Recorder sent to slisindy@iupui.edu to enroll in SLIS Indianapolis classes.

Note: SLIS Indianapolis students would need to have an email approval from the SLIS Indianapolis Recorder sent to slis@indiana.edu to enroll in SLIS Bloomington courses.

Financial aid and full-time status may be affected if a student is enrolled on two campuses. It is the student's responsibility to clarify their individual situation. Also, registration - and other academic calendar dates - vary between IU campuses.
