    1. Current Academic Appointment and Responsibilities

      Executive Associate Dean, Indiana University SLIS at Indianapolis.
      ALA accredited for the masters in library science.   Develop and expand the Indianapolis program and distance education delivery potential; Professor of Library Science and Director of School Library Media Education, 2001-present.   Growth in Indianapolis program: from two to nine fulltime faculty; from 130 MLS students in 2000 to 320 as of fall 2003.

      Associate Professor of Library Science and Instructional Systems Technology.
      Initial appointment in 1982; full Graduate School status in 1989; tenured at Bloomington in 1990; tenured at Indianapolis in 2001.

      Director of School Library Media Education.   Since 1982 responsible for development of school library media curriculum and certification program; now advising 200 students annually.   Program ranked #7 nationally by U.S. News & World Report 1999.

      Director of Library Science.   1996 - 2001 responsible for review of MLS curriculum, ALA accreditation review, and marketing of program nationally.

      Coordinator for Internships.   Since 1995 responsible for expansion of field experience to be available as an option for MLS or MIS student.   Increased placements to current 150 annually across Indiana and out-of-state.

      Associate Dean, School of Library and Information Science, Indiana University, Bloomington, 1987-91.   Responsible for hiring and evaluation of 40 adjunct faculty annually and coordination of seven-campus distance education program; coordination of the doctoral program (26 admissions, 14 Ph.D. graduates, $224,000.00 fellowship awards); fund-raising through the IU Foundation ($60,000.00 in telefund campaign).

      Acting Dean, SLIS, 1990-91, 18 full-time faculty and $2.8 million budget.
