Ph.D. Application: International Students
**Application Deadline – November 1 – for admission for the Fall Semester**
STEP 1:
IU Office of International Admissions
Once an online application is submitted, transcripts need to be direct and officially sent to the IU Office of International Admissions through the post with the official seal stamped on them. These need to also be accompanied with an English version if the originals are in a different language. Test scores should be sent electronically to IU from the test center. International graduate application instructions and priority dates can be found on the International Admissions website. Students need to allow processing time with International Admissions; sometimes several months are needed. Submit your online application by November 1 so that it can be forwarded by International Admissions to SLIS by January 15. You must have a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard) to use the online application. Remember you must submit your application, pay the application fee ($65), and submit your supporting materials before International Admissions can process your application.
Questions about this step in the admissions process may be directed to International Admissions.
- Applications started after August 5, 2010 will use IU's newE-Application (eApp - Online Admissions Application).
- Applications started in the older ApplyYourself system shouldbe completed by October 1, 2010.
