SLIS-L

All SLIS students are required to subscribe to the SLIS-L distribution list. The primary purpose of the distribution list is to disseminate information about SLIS to the list subscribers including information regarding class schedules, course registration, advising, professional meetings, etc.

How to Subscribe to SLIS-L

• Send an e-mail message to
  iulist@indiana.edu
• Leave the subject line blank.
• In the body of your message type:
  
  subscribe SLIS-L firstname lastname
• LISTSERV will send an email with intructions to complete your subscription.
• Your command will be cancelled automatically if LISTSERV does not receive your confirmation within 48 hours.

How to unsubscribe from SLIS-L

• You may leave this list at any time by sending an e-mail message to iulist@indiana.edu.
  Do not send an subscribe or an unsubscribe message directly to SLIS-L.
• In the body of the e-mail type:
  
  unsubscribe SLIS-L

How to Post a Message to SLIS-L

• Send an e-mail message addressed to:
  SLIS-L@indiana.edu
• The list moderator must read and approve all messages prior to their posting. Allow up to three business days before the posting appears.
• Part-time job openings will also be posted here. (Note: Full-time job ads will be posted on SLIS_JOBS-L or on the SLIS "Post a Job" page.)

SLIS-STUDENTS-L

A second list is moderated by SLIS Associate Dean Howard Rosenbaum to help welcome new students and to provide additional communication for current students. It is more informal, and postings may include house, book information, etc.

SLIS_JOBS-L

This list is moderated by SLIS Associate Dean Howard Rosenbaum to help disseminate full-time job postings of interest to SLIS students and alumni. The list is moderated and is a broadcast list - jobs will be posted but there will be no discussions.
